Itinerary (day by day)
Day 1 – Arrive at the birthplace of Jazz – New Orleans! (Transfer to hotel):
Whether you arrive in the morning or in the afternoon, spend the remainder of the day exploring this unique city at your leisure. Visit the antique stores on Royal Street in the historic French Quarter or stroll along world-renowned Magazine Street with its antique and specialty shops and galleries. Time permitting, you may want to venture into the Warehouse District and enjoy its distinctive art galleries.

Day 2:
The morning is yours to explore the narrow streets of the captivating French Quarter. Perhaps you would like to treat yourself to some traditional delectable beignets and café au lait at the venerable Cafe du Monde on Jackson Square, and then do some window-shopping.
After your stroll through the French Quarter, see the breadth and diversity of the whole city on your guided City Tour. Leave your hotel in the early afternoon and drive briefly through the French Quarter before emerging onto one of the city's grand venues, Esplanade Avenue, which offers historic and aesthetically appealing mansions for your viewing pleasure.
St. Louis III Cemetery (closed on Sundays) is next, where you will learn about our burial customs. Your tour continues through City Park, one of the largest public parks in the country. As you pass by the impressive New Orleans Museum of Art, stop for a quick rest in the park.
The afternoon continues on a drive on our grand promenade, St. Charles Avenue, lined with its awe-inspiring mansions. Proceed through the Garden District, also known as the American Sector, where Americans established stately homes representative of various architectural styles. Pass the four-star dining establishment, Commander's Palace, where Louisiana chef Paul Prudhomme made his debut. Return to your hotel via the city's Central Business District with its significant skyscrapers and the world-renowned Superdome, the largest indoor arena in the world. New Orleans offers so much-- you'll decide you must come back!
Day 3:
Experience in your Swamp Tour the primeval environment that welcomed the early settlers to Louisiana, this land of marshes and swamps. Tour bayous dotted with imposing native cypress trees adorned with flowing Spanish moss. Glimpse a variety of wildlife and don't be surprised if you even see an alligator! After your swamp tour or exploration, spend the remainder of the day free to explore the city at one's own pace!
In the afternoon, lunch at a plantation restaurant and be treated to our famous Louisiana cuisine. (Lunch is included in this package.) Afterwards, stroll through two antebellum plantations on our Plantation Tour and hear about the history and romance of those bygone days. Then, back in the city, you will have time to rest before you set out on the town!
Day 4:
Morning free to stroll the charming French Quarter and enjoy the aroma of coffee coming from the various coffee shops. Spend the remainder of the day free to explore the unique city at your own pace. Perhaps you would like to visit a museum? Be sure not to miss the New Orleans Museum of Art with its' unforgettable collection of Faberge Eggs or The Cabildo (Museum) dedicated to Louisiana History! There are also numerous art galleries to choose from in the French Quarter, Warehouse District, or on Magazine Street. Or perhaps you wish to take the historic Streetcar along the famed St. Charles Avenue, passing by the Garden District and the Uptown Section of town riding by Tulane & Loyola Universities as well as beautiful Audubon Park. You can get off to lunch in the Riverbend Section with its' numerous specialty boutiques.
Afterwards, you can rest at your hotel or enjoy a drink in one of the numerous Jazz or Blues Clubs in the French Quarter before embarking on the Jazz Dinner Cruise on the Mississippi River. On board a nineteenth-century style paddle-wheel steamboat, you will have a unique and spectacular view of the city while dining on our famous Creole cuisine and listening to the music born in New Orleans, Jazz!
Day 5 – Departure (Transfer to airport) – Depart New Orleans with many unforgettable memories!
